Friday 5th March – the last day of home learning!

Good morning wonderful willow and thank you SO much for all your hard work during this crazy time. We are SUPER DUPER TRUPER impressed with all your effort and commitment to learning at home and we cannot wait to see you in real life next week!!

If you haven’t already looked or you would like to look again, then here is a reminder of what the classroom looks like ready for your return to school – classroom tour.

Today, there are some more football activities for you take part in instead of (or as well as) your cosmic yoga session. Click on the links: Session 1, session 2, session 3

You also have time to finish off your write up/video discussion about your diorama that you made yesterday. They were all so fantastic and Mrs Lutas rewarded you with 1xdojo if you made one. We would like to double that to 2xdojos for each child that made a diorama as we were so impressed!

There is also a maths and a phonics session today if you get round to it!

Thanks again for all your hard work and we look forward to next week 🙂

Tuesday 23rd February

Good morning to our wonderful willow children,

I’m sure you have all heard the plan for pupils to return to school on 8th March. We are so excited to welcome the children back to the classroom. I realise that a few of you may be coming to end of the exercise books handed out on January 4th. As our return date to school is so close, please can we ask that children use their homework books, a notebook at home, or paper kept in a file to complete the remaining home-schooling tasks.

Here’s a reminder of the timetable this term Term 4 Timetable.

After your PE session, you have Phonics and handwriting, a topic lesson (Year 1&2) or guided reading (Reception), Maths and then a live ‘book club’ session click here to join at 1:30pmand please bring your favourite book along!–  before choosing one of the stories read by your teacher on the storytime page and practising your own reading.

Reply to sign in for today- I’m looking forward to seeing you later!

Monday 22nd February

And we’re back again! We hope you’ve all had a restful week and are feeling refreshed!

Good morning everyone and welcome to a brand new term.

We have a new suggested timetable for you this term- Term 4 Timetable. We have made some changes to the subjects that we would like the children to complete. You will notice you have ‘literacy’ on the timetable (for Year 1 and 2); this has replaced Guided Reading and the writing element of the mini topics. These have been uploaded to this blog as a PowerPoint doc because they contain some audio files. The easiest way for you to access these is to download them to your device so that they don’t become altered. Please email your teachers if there are any technical issues. They have also been uploaded as PDFs in case of formatting issues but unfortunately these do not contain the audio files so the children will likely need an adult to read to them. There is also an additional live session on your timetable: there is a book club session on Tuesday pm as well as an alternating PSHE or ICT session on a Thursday pm and an assembly on Friday. You will also see that there is no mini-topic but, instead, there is a different subject lesson for you each day. This is because, until later today at the news briefing, we are unsure of the plan to return to school so we can’t deliver ‘blocks’ of lessons because they don’t guarantee subject coverage.

Phew- that was a lot of information! So today you can enjoy PE with Joe Wicks, Phonics and Kinetic Letters handwriting, Literacy (Year 1&2) or Guided Reading (Reception), Maths, Science (this is optional for Reception) and story time- choose from one of the stories on the page and practise your own reading too!

Reply to sign in today and, as always, email us with any queries, concerns and to show off that wonderful work!
